Reach Out and Track Someone

By Terry J. Allen

If you are one of the more than 200 million Americans with a cell phone nestled in your pocket, authorities may be able to find you any time day or night—even if you never make or receive a call. You know the Verizon ad where a lockstep crowd personifies the network that accompanies its customer everywhere? Well, within that seemingly… return to article

Stalkers have just gotta hear about this.  No more following their victims around from place to place, enduring countless hours memorizing their schedules.  Now, for a mere chunk of change and knowing a cell phone number, they can get a full print out of all they need to know!

I remember a friendly chat I had with a local cell tower technician.  He was amiable enough to demonstrate how his standard-issue technician phone could track any powered phone simply by typing in it’s number.

    Kinda cool, kinda creepy.

Word to the wise criminal/terrorist:  Low-tech is the way to go for those who don’t want to be easily tracked.  No cellphone, no internet, no credit cards, etc. etc.

Does anyone have a comment on how this huge new data base and tracking system is being used to compile lists to disqualify voters?
    Thanks-
