Reader Comments (1)Page 1 of 1 pagesI have to intelligently attempt to deduce the meanings of any utterance put forth by a regime such as now rules America. No one can do more because all doors to open, honest debate, any release of legitimate documentation, whatever logically construed rhetoric is expounded by these so-called people at the top is simply not credible. To be credible, a government must be open to public inquiry and oversight, produce all and any relevant documentation unaltered, and place all of these at the disposal of anyone who pays taxes. For in the final analysis, the taxpayer is not only the final arbiter of how his government should act but also the sole proprietor of any evidentiary material and documentation produced using taxpayer funding. In the total disregard of these basic rights as citizens, one is forced to take sides on the basis of informed speculation only rather than corroborative documents and evidentiary material. It is clear we have reached that chasm between the world of truth and that of ministries of truth. In this light, I would have to conclude that our present regime believes it can cope with the possible extinction of life on this planet resulting from the law of unforseeable consequences re., nuclear armageddon. This is no longer a fearful subject to me but one which fills me with so profound a sense of impending doom that I am willing, for the first time in my life, to jeapordize it if in doing so our species and all other innocent sentient beings could be rid of this awful possibility. Yes, in their blindness, these monsters are perfectly capable of sacrificing the ultimate source of sustenance and wonder for a few more billion dollars and the iron boots of ultimate world domination.
