Why do I even read your vacuous articles?

Several sites show links between Tanton and his partners to white supremacists. The Southern Poverty Law Center has a number of articles on John Tanton. www.splcenter.org "In These Times" has moved from a left stand on issues to a right wing white supremacist stand.

wolf: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- november - "In These Times" has moved from a left stand on issues to a right wing white supremacist stand. Can one be against illegal immigration without being a "white supremacist"? In fact, is there any connection between the two? Why did you make the assertion above? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gee wolf, could it have been because of the sentence that was written BEFORE the one you quote? Let's find out. "Several sites show links between Tanton and his partners to white supremacists. The Southern Poverty Law Center has a number of articles on John Tanton. www.splcenter.org" Yes, it sure looks …

wolf- Sorry you don't understand plain english. perhaps a nice language class would help. After that a quick followup with logic. Your 'loaded question' was indeed a 'strawman'. Feel free to google both terms.

For the folks who haven't looked up John Tanton on technorati.com: I found a very thorough disection of John Tanton at www.politicalcortex.com. I've included a tinyurl link just in case, since the comments tend to break long urls. tinyurl link http://tinyurl.com/mjh9p original url link http://www.politicalcortex.com/print/2006/4/8/21947/90571

An article that whitewashs (no pun intended) the history of John Tantons strong ties to white supremacists gets accolades from folks who then recommend lynchings. What a suprise. Not.

By the way, whattheheck. I already said discussions of illegal immigration WITHOUT the white supremacists is fine. So you've gone from hyperbole to beating a dead horse. To do a whitewash article on someone with ties to white supremacists ON the subject of illegal immigration WITHOUT pointing out their ties to white supremacists is a horrendous breach of journalistic ethics. And that has been my point all along.

JonathanNil That quote comes from a memo written by John Tanton in 1986 to the attendees of a White Supremacist conference called WITAN IV. WITAN was/is a White Supremacist group founded by Tanton, which is how he got the attendee list. You can read the memo here: http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?sid=125

With all due respect, I disagree that Lou Dobbs is any friend of progressives. While conventional wisdom says 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend,' that is hardly ever the case. A 'friendship' based on mutual conflict against another almost always denigrates once the mutual 'enemy' is removed. In this instance, Lou Dobbs holds Bushs feet to the fire on occasion. But Lou Dobbs also spends a great deal of time pushing an anti-immigrant message that comes from white supremacist and neo-nazi founded and funded organizations. Please refer to "Broken Record" at http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?aid=589 for more on this issue. So while …

I did not say subscribing to an anti-immigrant view meant one was a white supremacist or neo-nazi. I did say his message IS coming from white supremacist and neo-nazi organizations and supplied a link to back it up. Since you asked for evidence, I guess you are link impaired. I'll repeat it for you Please refer to 'Broken Record' at http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?aid=589 for more on this issue. Can you spot it that time? Also, immigrating to the USA has a fine of $50 and is a misdomenor. Littering on a highway has a larger fine. In many places so does jaywalking. When …

I also find people talking about 'illegals' to be troublesome. It's just like any other epithet used to demean people. They as PEOPLE ARE NOT ILLEGAL. Their IMMIGRATION IS NOT LEGAL as a civil matter and there's the rub. If I can get people to look at illegal immigrants as illegal people, I've won the meme battle. All that is left is splitting up the spoils. It's a very powerful trick. It's racist too, since I hear illegal latino immigrants called illegal yet I've never heard an illegal irish immigrant called illegal. And answer me this: since this is a misdomenor, …

The url for 'Broken Record' is http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?aid=589 I find it odd that it's broken in the previous two posts.
