Jesus would most certainly not be a liberal - he would never advocate stealing (via taxes) to redistribute money as he sees fit. He would try to persuade those who have into giving freely to those who have not. The soul is not redeemed through force, but through choice. And giving is not necessarily in the form of a non-stop handout - could in in training to help someone be permanently self-sufficient. Our system of government steals in order to supply the indolent. That is immoral. "Alleged" Al Quaeda terrorist...lol....does that mean "alleged" falling of the WTC?

Thanks, Kuya, you are correct. Whether or not one accepts the divinity of Jesus, there is much evidence that he was a real person. Thanks, Dave, for the defense. Until people change the BEHAVIORS that make and keep themselves poor, you will always have poor people.

"the ultimate goal of white capitalism appears not to be just profit but absolute power, not only control over raw materials but cultural and political domination as well. As such, whiteness is the most common trait of the clique in pursuit of absolute power under the guise of capitalism (or democracy in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan)." Actually the goal of capitalism - white or not - is the pursuit of self interest by providing something that someone else wants at a price they're willing to pay. Sounds like a good deal to me. And by the growth of minority-owned …

I, too, was going to be one of those parents who would never spank-- until my strong willed child was born. For acts of defiance and obstinance, he got a swat on the behind. Now that strong will is channeled into more creative outlets, instead of his energies being wasted on sassing his parents. I do think there is a real difference between swatting for defiance and the unjust and unfair beatings you may be speaking of. But much of that stems from mothers raising kids w/out fathers and also having kids when the mother is a kid herself . However, …
